Dinkum: Vombat Guide

Vombats are one of the cutest (and most useful) animals you can raise in Dinkum. They might look like lazy grazers, but once fully grown, they’ll keep you stocked with Milk and even High Quality Milk if you treat them right. Here’s everything you need to know about getting, feeding, and caring for your Vombats.
How to Get a Vombat
First, get Irwin to move into your town by completing his requests, chatting with him, and buying from his visiting shop.
Once Irwin’s Barn is built, you’ll be able to buy a Vombat Joey for 15,000 Dinks—but only if he’s selling Vombats that day (they rotate with Pleeps).
You’ll also need Handling License Level 2 before you can purchase one.
It takes 5 days for a Joey to grow into an adult Vombat.
What Do Vombats Eat?
Vombats aren’t picky eaters:
They’ll happily graze on tall grass inside their pen.
You can also feed them Animal Food using a feeder from Irwin’s Barn.
Once your farm grows, build a Silo to auto-fill nearby feeders.
They only eat once per day, and while they won’t die if unfed, they’ll stop producing milk and lose happiness.
How to Get Milk and High Quality Milk
Once fully grown, Vombats produce Milk daily.
Use a Milking Bucket to collect it.
To get High Quality Milk, raise their heart level by:
Feeding them daily.
Providing shelter (1 Animal Stall per Vombat).
Petting them every day or using a Guitar to keep them happy.
They’ll also leave behind Vombat Poo daily—great for fertilizer.
Vombat Colors
Vombats come in a variety of colors, including:
Grey
Brown
Brown & White
Black
Black & White
It’s random which color you’ll get when buying a Joey.
Final Blurb
Vombats in Dinkum are low-maintenance milk machines if you set them up right. Whether you let them graze freely or feed them with a silo system, keeping them happy means a steady supply of milk—and maybe a little extra poo on the side. Just remember to give them a pat every day, because even digital Vombats need love.
