Do NPCs Respawn in Schedule 1?

Note: This guide covers content from Schedule 1, a satirical video game set in a fictional world. All items, recipes, and references are entirely made up and exist only in the game. Please don’t try any of this in real life.
In Schedule 1, you can punch, kick, or "accidentally" explode just about anyone. But what happens when you do? Is that customer gone for good? Did you just wipe your whole contact chain because Greg accidentally ran into your bat over and over?

Yes, NPCs Respawn — Eventually
You can absolutely take out customers, dealers, gun runners, and even the occasional grandma. But no worries—they’ll be back.
Most NPCs will return after a short break, usually within a few in-game days. Their body will vanish, and they’ll reappear somewhere on the map like nothing happened. Sometimes they respawn stuck in a wall, sometimes just awkwardly pacing in circles, but hey—they’re alive.
What If You Need Them for Progress?
Even more good news: important NPCs still come back.
If the person you "accidentally" flattened was part of your unlock chain, you haven’t ruined your empire. Just:
Wait a day or two in-game
Sleep/save/quit and reload
Watch for them to return—probably somewhere weird
As long as they’re still listed in your Contacts, you're still good. You didn’t kill progress—you just delayed it.
What If They Don’t Come Back?
If you're still waiting and they haven’t reappeared:
Try sleeping a few times
Use Emergency Rescue from the Psicat Guide (just in case they’re stuck in the void)
Or alt-F4, reload, and try again
Some folks have even reported seeing NPCs come back faster after they cleared trash off the ground. Who knew tidying up had magical powers?
Final Blurb
Yes, NPCs respawn in Schedule 1. You can go full chaos gremlin and still keep your business running. The game forgives. The customers forget. And eventually, even the most violently exploded contact will be back on your doorstep like nothing ever happened.
