When fighting the Bourgeon Swallow, getting eaten is part of the fight — and no, you can’t dodge or parry the swallow attack itself.
How the Swallow & Being Eaten Works
The Swallow move is guaranteed to happen if you let the Bourgeon Swallow keep attacking.
It doesn’t matter how well you dodge or parry.
When a teammate gets eaten, they’re stuck until you break the boss's stance.
Damage alone won't free them… You must fill up the break gauge by parrying, dodging combos, and countering his attacks.
How to Save Your Team from the Bourgeon
Focus on parrying the boss’s Miasma projectiles to build up Overcharge faster.
Break his stance as quickly as possible. When the boss breaks, he spits your swallowed teammate back out.
Healing Light is good for clearing any poison or status effects while you work toward the break.
Other Tips
If you're struggling, some players recommend starting the fight with fewer party members. That way, fewer people get swallowed.
The boss tends to target your highest DPS character, so swapping your team order before the fight can help protect important members.
