How to Level Up Pictos in Clair Obscur: Expedition

Pictos are small pieces of equipment in Expedition 33 that give characters extra stat boosts. If you level them up, you unlock even better effects. Here's how to do it right.
How to Get Pictos
You can find Pictos two main ways:
Exploration: Look for light blue loot on the ground while exploring. These often hide Pictos in tucked-away areas.
Battle Rewards: Some Pictos drop after winning fights. They show up in the Battle Loot screen after combat.
Pictos are hidden all over the world, so take your time searching side paths and corners.
How to Equip and Use Pictos
Each character can equip three Pictos at once.
Open the Party Menu.
Select the character you want.
Look in the bottom left corner of their profile for three Picto slots.
Click a slot to pick a Picto from your collection.
You can swap Pictos any time without any cost.
If a Picto is already equipped to someone else, their face will show next to it in the menu — but you can move it easily.
You can also filter Pictos by type (Offense, Defense, etc.) to make picking faster.
How to Level Up Pictos
You level up a Picto just by fighting with it equipped.
Win four battles with a Picto equipped to a character.
After four wins, the Picto will become Mastered.
When a Picto is Mastered, it unlocks a Lumina bonus.
Once unlocked, the Lumina stays active even if you remove the Picto — giving you more passive buffs across your team.
