Hell Clock Relics Guide
Written by Michael Owen | Hell Clock
Relics are the most important items in Hell Clock, defining your character’s power and playstyle. Unlike regular gear, relics give unique bonuses, create powerful synergies, and often determine which builds are viable for high-end content.
What Are Relics
Relics are unique artifacts that you manage, upgrade, and equip in the Reliquary. They can change how your skills work, boost damage types, or provide survival mechanics like life steal or defensive shields.
Many relics are build-defining, meaning entire strategies are built around them.
Relic Properties
Relics have multiple layers of depth:
Rarity – Common, Magic, Rare, Epic, and Legendary, with higher rarity offering stronger effects.
Tier – Higher tiers give bigger bonuses. Campaign relic tiers scale with acts, but in Ascension mode you can find high-tier relics much earlier.
Exalted Relics – These are large 2x2 relics with powerful effects and at least four affixes.
Affixes – Relics roll random stat bonuses. Even the same relic can feel different depending on affix rolls, such as movement speed boosts or extra damage when a status effect is active.
Shape – Relics have different inventory shapes, forcing you to manage your Reliquary grid for optimal fit.
Notable Unique Relics
Unique relics provide powerful, build-changing effects:
Banner of Faith – Converts Double Knives damage into health, giving life steal for melee sustain.
Molten Relic – Converts all Repeater skill damage to Fire and adds grenade explosions on hit.
Death Notary – Makes enemies in Slow Time take 20% more damage.
Feather Dagger – Allows Veil of Quills projectiles to pierce enemies.
Righteous Fire – Creates a burning aura that drains your health to damage nearby enemies.
Bundle of Syringes – Strong healing-focused relic favored by most melee builds.
Katinga Hunter – Boosts movement speed and melee attack speed when using Reflexes.
Mark of the Vulture – Causes enemies to explode after stacking marks, great with piercing attacks.
How to Get Relics
Dungeon Drops – Found by defeating enemies, especially elites, and opening chests.
Shops – Buy relics between runs with in-game currency.
Targeted Drops – The game often prioritizes relics that synergize with your equipped skills, helping you build around your chosen playstyle.
Final Blurb
Relics are the cornerstone of progression in Hell Clock. They define how your build plays, determine your survivability, and can transform core skills into devastating tools.
Collect them from elites and shops, optimize your Reliquary space, and hunt for unique relics to unlock your best builds.
