How to Emote in Dune Awakening

How to Emote in Dune Awakening

Written by Tyler Harris

If you want to wave, cheer, or just flex on the sands of Arrakis, you’ll need to use the Emote Wheel in Dune: Awakening. Once you know where to look, it’s easy to trigger any emote your character has unlocked.

Here’s how to do it.

Hold the Middle Mouse Button

To bring up the Emote Wheel, just hold the Middle Mouse Button. This also brings up the ping/radial menu, depending on your context, so make sure you’re not aiming at anything interactable while doing it.

From there, you’ll see a selection of emotes or communication actions. Move your mouse in the direction of the emote you want, then release the button to perform it.

How to Unlock More Emotes

As of now, most emotes are part of your default character options, but more might be tied to progression, cosmetics, or future events. Keep an eye on customization tabs in the Status Menu to check what’s available or what you might unlock later.

Can You Emote with a Controller?

Not yet. The devs confirmed controller support is coming in a future update, along with console versions of the game. Until then, mouse and keyboard is your only option.

Final Blurb

The Emote Wheel might not change your odds of survival on Arrakis, but it will let you taunt, celebrate, or silently judge your allies in style. And really, isn’t that more important?
