How to Get to the Deep Desert in Dune Awakening (PvP Zone)

Written by Tyler Harris

You can’t just stroll into the Deep Desert. It’s locked behind gear, faction grind, and a giant glowing wall. But if you're at the endgame and wondering where the real pvp is, here’s exactly how to get there.

Build or Buy an Ornithopter

First, you need a working Ornithopter. Walking’s not an option.

To craft one, you’ll need:

  • Scout Ornithopter Hull Mk4

  • Scout Ornithopter Cockpit Mk4

  • Scout Ornithopter Engine Mk4

  • Any other required parts for your build

You can also just buy the parts from a faction vendor once you hit Level 4 with any faction. If you’ve been skipping dailies, now’s the time to fix that.

Head to the Shield Wall

Once your Ornithopter is ready, fly out to the northern edge of either the Western or Eastern Shield Wall. Keep going until you hit a massive blue forcefield. That’s your sign.

Fly through it, and the game will stop you with a prompt to travel to the world map.

Pick Deep Desert on the Map

After crossing the barrier, select “Deep Desert” from the world map. You’ll load into a new zone. That’s it already… Raw sand, full PvP, and worms that hate vehicles.

Now you’re in.

Final Blurb

The Deep Desert isn’t hidden behind some hidden quest; it’s a choice. You gear up, fly out, cross the wall, and hope you’re ready.

Good luck out there… and keep one eye on the sand.

FAQ

Q: Do I need an Ornithopter to reach the Deep Desert?

Yes. It’s the only way in. No flying = no entry.

Q: Where do I go to find the entrance?

Head to the north edge of the Western or Eastern Shield Wall and look for a blue forcefield.

Q: What faction level do I need to buy Ornithopter parts?

Level 4 with any faction should unlock the vendor parts you need.

Q: Can I reach the Deep Desert early?

Not really. It’s considered endgame, and you’ll need proper gear and progression to survive once you’re there.

Q: Is it full PvP?

Yep. Outside the PvE strip behind the Shield Wall, it’s full PvP with friendly fire turned on. Bring friends or prepare to respawn.
