Look for the Alpine Biome
You won’t find the Yellow Winterberry near the starting Shore. You need to climb into the Alpine biome first, which is a higher section of the island. The berry only spawns near capybaras, and those animals only appear in this upper region.
Follow the Smoke
To locate the capybaras, look for rising smoke in the distance while climbing. You can’t see it from the shoreline. Once you're high enough, keep an eye out for a thin trail of smoke, which marks the capybara camp.
Spot the Capybaras
Once you reach the smoke, look around for capybaras sitting peacefully near a small fire. Near or on them, you’ll find two Yellow Winterberries guaranteed. This is currently the only consistent way to get the berry in the game.
