How to Get EGO | Limbus Company Guide

Getting EGO in Limbus Company isn’t as flashy as summoning a five-star anime girl, but it does come with giant weapons, eldritch whispers, and the occasional complete mental breakdown.
If you're wondering why you're barely getting any EGO after a week of grinding, well... that’s pretty normal.
Here’s a breakdown on how EGO works, how to get it, and how to not lose your mind in the process.
The Main Ways to Get EGO
1. Extract It (aka Gacha Pulling)
This is the easiest but least reliable method.
You can extract EGO (and Identities) using Lunacy, which you’ll get from:
Mirror Dungeon rewards
Daily/weekly missions
Maintenance compensation
Events and seasonal content
Each 10-pull costs 1300 Lunacy, and you’ll earn enough to do around 3 full 10-pulls per month just from playing.
EGO drops are rarer than Identities, but once you pull one, it’s removed from the banner pool, which makes future pulls more likely to give you something new.
So yes, RNG is still a factor, but it’s way more forgiving than in other gacha games.
2. Buy It with Egoshards
This is the reliable way. If you get duplicates from the gacha, you’ll receive Egoshards for that character. These can be saved up and spent in the Dispenser to buy specific EGO directly.
EGO costs 400 Egoshards
You can get shards from duplicate pulls, Mirror Dungeon crate rewards, or attendance events
Note: EGO is tied to specific Sinners, so you’ll need that character’s shards to buy their EGO.
3. Grind Mirror Dungeons (for Egoshard Crates)
This is where you’ll spend most of your farming time if you want a specific EGO.
Hard Mirror Dungeon gives big rewards once per week
Normal Mirror Dungeon can be run multiple times daily
Full clears give you Egoshard Crates (either random or nominable)
You’ll get 5–8 crates per run, depending on difficulty and Limbus Pass level
To get one EGO from crates alone, expect to do 15–20 full MD clears, more if you’re F2P without the battle pass.
4. Limbus Pass and Events
If you bought the battle pass, you’ll get extra Egoshard Crates past level 100. Even the free pass offers some early on.
You’ll also occasionally get:
Seasonal event crates
Walpurgisnacht-exclusive content
Intervallo reward boosts
These handouts can sometimes save you from grinding 3 MDs a day just to afford one weapon.
Which EGO Are Actually Worth It?
Don’t spend everything the moment you get 400 shards. Focus on:
EGO that synergize with your best IDs
EGO that are low-cost and easy to charge
Mass attacks or utility effects (binds, debuffs, etc.)
If you’re building toward a specific team (like Bleed or Burn), only invest in EGO that actually fits that core.
What About EGO Corrosion?
Using too many EGO skills without managing your Sinner’s SP (Sanity Points) will cause Corrosion. That’s when a Sinner loses it and temporarily becomes an unhinged monster.
It’s powerful, but risky. The game encourages you to manage your SP smartly if you want to chain multiple EGO skills without triggering Corrosion.
Final Blurb
Getting EGO in Limbus Company is a long-term grind, not a burst of luck. Pull when it makes sense, save your shards, and run Mirror Dungeons when you’ve got the time.
You’re not meant to collect everything in a week.
You can buy power, sure, but you can also just log in, hit a dungeon, and chip away slowly until you’re wielding nightmare weapons made of trauma and abstraction. Totally normal stuff.
FAQ
Q: What’s the best way to farm for EGO fast?
Mirror Dungeon. Full clears give Egoshard Crates. Do Hard MD weekly, then Normal MD daily if you want to speed things up.
Q: How do I buy a specific EGO?
You need 400 Egoshards for that Sinner. Use the Dispenser to buy it directly.
Q: What’s the drop rate for EGO in pulls?
Lower than Identities, but once you pull an EGO, it’s removed from the pool, so you won’t get dupes.
Q: Can I get event EGO anytime?
No. Some event EGO are time-limited and can’t be pulled or bought after the season ends unless re-released.
Q: Is it worth refreshing Enkephalin just to run more Mirror Dungeons?
Only if you’re desperate. It’s more efficient to pace yourself unless you’re on a deadline or chasing a seasonal item.
