How to Get Egoshards Fast in Limbus Company

If you're trying to grab specific Identities or E.G.Os in Limbus Company without relying on RNG, Egoshards are the way to do it.

The fastest way to farm them is by finishing Mirror Dungeons and pushing past the Limbus Pass level cap. After that, everything just starts piling up.

There’s a grind to it, sure, but if you follow the steps below, you’ll get a steady stream of shards without burning out or wasting your Lunacy.

Focus on Mirror Dungeon Farming

Prioritize Mirror Dungeon 2 (Hard Mode)

The single best method for farming Egoshards is finishing Mirror Dungeon 2 (Hard).

Once per week, this mode gives a huge chunk of Limbus Pass EXP, and more importantly, a bunch of Egoshard Crates after you hit the pass level cap.

After you’ve completed all normal Limbus Pass rewards, every level you gain gives:

  • 1 Nominable Egoshard Crate with the free pass

  • 2 extra crates with the premium pass

Each crate gives 1 to 3 Egoshards.

If You’re Not There Yet... Grind Mirror Dungeon 1

Mirror Dungeon 1 (Normal) is slower but still gets the job done.

Each full run still gives pass EXP and shard crates over time.

If you can’t beat MD2 Hard yet, just keep grinding MD1 until you’re strong enough.

Get the Limbus Pass (If You’re Willing)

Free vs Premium Comparison

The free pass gets the job done over time, but the premium pass is where things get serious.

Once you reach level 120, every level after gives:

  • 3 Nominable Egoshard Crates with the premium pass

  • 1 crate with just the free pass

So if you’re going to play daily and farm, buying the premium version pays off fast.

Don’t Forget Extraction Shards

Duplicates Turn Into Shards Automatically

Whenever you pull a duplicate Identity or E.G.O, you’ll get:

  • 3 Egoshards for 2★ IDs

  • 15 Egoshards for 3★ IDs

  • 50 Egoshards for E.G.Os

You don’t need to do anything extra, just summon and it’ll convert on its own.

It’s not a fast method, but it stacks up over time if you’re rolling anyway.

Open Your Crates Before the Season Ends

Don’t Sit on Unopened Crates

When a new season starts, half your Egoshards get converted into Thread, and the other half carry over.

The same thing happens to unopened crates... they turn into Thread Crates.

So if you’ve got crates saved up, open them before the reset to keep the full shard value.

Bonus Tips for Faster Shard Farming

  • Run Mirror Dungeon on auto if you're short on time

  • Recharge Enkephalin with Lunacy if you’re okay spending a little

  • Don’t ignore attendance rewards and events, they often give crates

  • Nominable Crates are better than Random Crates every time

Final Blurb

Getting Egoshards in Limbus Company isn’t complicated, it’s really just sticking to a routine. Do your weekly Mirror Dungeon Hard runs, don’t skip pass levels, and open your crates before the reset.

Doesn’t matter if you’re going free-to-play or dropping a few bucks on the premium pass; this system will get you the shards you need without depending on luck.

FAQ

Q: What are Egoshards used for?

You can spend them in the Dispenser to buy specific Identities, E.G.Os, or convert them into Thread.

Q: How do I get Egoshards the fastest way possible?

Clear Mirror Dungeon 2 Hard and grind post-pass levels with the premium pass if you have it.

Q: Are Random or Nominable Crates better?

Nominable Crates are better since you can choose which Sinner gets the shards.

Q: Can I get Egoshards from just playing the story?

No, the story does not give Egoshards directly. You need to use Dungeons, events, or pulls.

Q: Should I use my Egoshards for the Dispenser or save them?

If you’re targeting a specific ID or E.G.O, the Dispenser is your best bet. Don’t sit on them too long.
