How to Heal and Stop Bleeding in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is not a game that holds your hand. In fact, it’s more likely to punch you in the face, knock you to the ground, and then let you bleed out while bandits loot your body. But don’t worry—healing is possible. You just need to know what you’re doing.
How to Heal
So, you took a bad hit. Maybe you fell off your horse (again), maybe you lost a sword fight (again), or maybe you just ate something you really shouldn’t have. Either way, your health bar looks concerningly low. Here’s how to fix that.
Use Marigold Decoctions (a.k.a. Medieval Healing Potions)
The fastest way to heal is with Marigold Decoctions, which work like slow-burn health potions. There are two types:
Weak Marigold Decoction (meh, but better than nothing).
Strong Marigold Decoction (actually useful).
Stronger versions heal more and even cure hangovers, because clearly, Henry has a problem.
If you don’t have one on hand, check an Apothecary or brew your own (assuming you can follow directions and not set yourself on fire).
Marigold Decoction Recipe
Ingredients:
Water (self-explanatory).
Handful of Nettle (found in the wild).
Two Handfuls of Marigold (also in the wild).
Steps:
Add Nettle to the cauldron and boil for two turns.
Grind the Marigold, then add it.
Pour it out, hope you did it right, and drink.
If that sounds like too much effort, just buy the potion.
How to Stop Bleeding
Healing potions are great, but they won’t stop you from bleeding to death. If you’re actively losing blood, you need to bandage up first—otherwise, you’ll heal just enough to die slightly slower.
Use Bandages
Open your inventory and apply a bandage to your wounds.
If you’re bleeding heavily, one bandage won’t cut it—you’ll need multiple.
Keep plenty of bandages on hand, because you will get stabbed. A lot.
Until you get proper armor, expect to be bandaging yourself every other fight. Think of it as medieval duct tape—you always need more than you think.
Final Blurb
Drink Marigold Decoctions to restore health.
Bandage yourself first if you’re bleeding—potions won’t stop blood loss.
Carry extra bandages, because you will need them.
Maybe stop getting hit so much (just a suggestion).
Now go forth and try to keep all your blood inside your body—it works better that way.
