Some furniture rotates. Some refuses. Let’s break it down.
How to Rotate Furniture
Left-click and drag slightly when placing a piece of furniture.
If that furniture type can rotate, directional arrows will appear. You can click those to spin the item 90 degrees at a time.
This only works for small and movable items like chairs, tables, some decorations, and a few smaller appliances.
That’s it. There is no universal “rotate” button or hotkey (at least for now).
What Can’t Be Rotated (Right Now)
Sinks
Showers
Toilets
Kitchen counters
Large wall-mounted items
These are locked to a default facing. Even if you drag them, the game won’t give you the arrows to rotate.
Why Is Rotation Limited?
Based on player testing, the game treats some furniture as “static” objects (can’t rotate) and others as “dynamic” objects (can rotate). There’s no in-game explanation, which has led to a lot of players thinking rotation is bugged. It’s not a bug—it’s just a design limit for now.
Final Blurb
You can rotate some things. You can’t rotate others. The game never really tells you this, so you’ll have to learn by trial and error... or by reading guides like this and saving yourself some hair-pulling.
