Hey, so you use keys to summon heroes through the Dreamweaver menu. Shadow Keys work on the standard banner, and Great Keys are for limited event banners. Each type only works on the banner it's tied to.

Using Shadow Keys
Shadow Keys are used on the Legends Assemble banner.
To spend them:
Open the Dreamweaver menu from the main screen
Select the Legends Assemble banner
Tap Summon x1 or Summon x5
If you have keys, they’ll be used automatically
Each summon uses one key. Five summons will use five keys.
You’ll also earn Exclusive Points when you use keys. At 80 points, you can trade them in for a random three-star hero. This gives you a backup reward even if your pulls are unlucky.
Using Great Keys
Great Keys are only used on Radar Banners. These are time-limited banners with rate-up heroes.
To use them:
Go to Dreamweaver
Pick the active Radar Banner
Tap to summon, and the game will use your Great Key if you have one
Radar Banners have a soft pity system. If your first three-star pull isn’t the featured hero, your second one will be. The pity resets after each banner ends, so don’t expect progress to carry over.
Don’t Waste Gems on the Wrong Keys
Shadow Keys are easier to get. Great Keys are not. Only convert Dreamgems into Great Key currency when the featured banner is really worth it. Otherwise I think you should save your gems for stamina refreshes or important shop items.
How to Get More Keys
You can earn more keys from:
7-Day Missions
Daily and main missions
Story chapters (Stem and Branch)
Mailbox rewards
Dreamdust shop (monthly Shadow Key limit: 5)
Events like Momento and Time Reversal
