Max Crew Limit in Badlands Crew Explained

In Badlands Crew, your battle wagon might be loaded with guns and armor, but it’s your crew that keeps it alive. Managing your crew size is important if you want to survive the chaos outside the city.
Here’s exactly how the crew limit works, without any filler or guesswork.
How Many Crew Members You Start With
You begin the game with 5 crew members.
Each one can handle a turret, repair station, healing station, or driving duties. Early on, this feels manageable, but it quickly becomes tight as missions get harder.
How To Increase Your Crew Size
To add more crew slots, you need to:
Defeat a Stronghold, not just a regular outpost.
After taking down your first stronghold, you unlock the ability to expand your crew.Use Training Manuals to unlock new slots.
Crew expansion costs Training Manuals. These are the same items used to increase recruit level, so you’ll have to choose carefully. The first extra slot costs 5 Training Manuals.
Training Manuals are found during missions, scavenged from the wasteland, or earned from big fights. Make sure to save a few if you plan to grow your team early.
What Is The Max Crew Size?
The maximum number of active crew members is 8.
Once you've unlocked all the slots, your battle wagon will have a full team working across weapons, repairs, healing, and driving.
There’s no official method to exceed 8 members in the current game. If that changes with future updates or DLCs, we’ll update this guide.

Final Blurb
In short:
Start with 5 crew.
Defeat a stronghold.
Spend Training Manuals to unlock more slots.
Top out at 8 crew members.
The bigger your crew, the bigger the fights you can survive. Just don't expect the wasteland to get any easier when you're fully loaded.
