Oblivion Remastered Best Horse

If you want to ride in style and speed across Cyrodiil, picking the right horse matters. Here’s a quick breakdown of the best early and late game horses in Oblivion Remastered.
Best Horses in Oblivion Remastered
Best Early Game Horse — Weynon Priory Horse
Your best bet early on is the Weynon Priory Horse. You’ll get it free by progressing the main quest. It’s basically equal to the cheaper horses for sale, which makes spending gold on other mounts pointless until much later. You’ll unlock it after joining the Blades and reaching Cloud Ruler Temple. There’s no downside to joining them, so grab the horse when you can.
Best Late Game Horse — Shadowmere
When you start building your Dark Brotherhood résumé, keep going until you finish the quest The Purification. Once done, you’ll be rewarded with Shadowmere.
Shadowmere is the best late game horse for two simple reasons:
It has great speed and durability.
It can’t die. If its health drops, it just goes unconscious.
After finishing The Purification, Shadowmere will appear outside Fort Farragut waiting to serve.
Final Blurb
Don’t waste gold buying horses early. Grab the Weynon Priory Horse first. When you’re ready to rule the roads later on, let Shadowmere carry you to glory. Simple as that.
