Dropping items in Oblivion Remastered works the same way it did in the original game—because some things don’t need remastering.
Open Your Inventory
Press Tab (PC) or the appropriate button if you're on controller to bring up your inventory menu.Select the Item You Want to Drop
Scroll through until you find that rusty sword or stack of cabbage weighing you down.Hold Shift (PC) or Use the Drop Button (Console)
On PC: Hold Shift and Left-Click the item.
On Console: Highlight the item and press the button indicated for "Drop" (usually it's X on Xbox or Square on PlayStation, depending on your control scheme).
Watch It Hit the Floor
Congratulations, you’ve just littered Cyrodiil. The item will appear in front of you, ready to be ignored or picked back up if you have second thoughts.

Pro Tip: Don’t Drop Important Stuff
Quest Items can’t be dropped. The game knows better than to let you ruin your own progress.
If you're trying to declutter, focus on dumping:
Heavy weapons or armor you're not using.
Alchemy ingredients (unless you're roleplaying as Tamriel’s worst chef).
Misc junk you thought you’d sell but never did.
Final Blurb
Dropping items in Oblivion Remastered is simple—once you know how. Just remember, Cyrodiil isn’t your personal storage unit (even if it feels like it). Travel light, drop often, and maybe think twice before picking up every single goblet you see in a dungeon.
