Oblivion Remastered How to Enchant Multiple Effects

Enchanting weapons in Oblivion Remastered sounds easy... until you try to stack multiple effects and everything just replaces itself. Here’s exactly how to do it.
Can You Put Multiple Enchantments on a Weapon?
Yes... but only during the initial enchanting.
Once you enchant a weapon, that’s it. You can’t add more effects later. You also can’t use more than one soul gem. All effects will pull from the single gem you pick.
How to Enchant Multiple Effects (Step by Step)
Step 1 — Pick Your Weapon
Start enchanting and select the weapon you want to enchant.
Step 2 — Pick Your Soul Gem
Choose one gem. You’ll only get to use one, no matter how many effects you plan to add.
Step 3 — Choose Your First Effect
Go to the list of available effects and pick your first one (like Fire Damage).
Step 4 — Confirm the Effect
This is where most players mess up.
Once you set the magnitude, press the confirm button.
Mouse/keyboard: Look for a confirm button prompt.
Controller: Press X (Xbox) or Square (PlayStation).
If you skip this, adding a second effect will just replace the first one.
Step 5 — Pick Another Effect
Now choose a second effect (like Frost Damage or Paralyze) and repeat Step 4 to confirm it.
Step 6 — Repeat as Needed
Keep picking and confirming effects until you’ve added everything you want.
Step 7 — Name and Enchant the Weapon
Don’t forget to name your weapon or the enchant button will stay greyed out.
Important Limits
You can’t use duplicate effects (no stacking two Fire Damage effects).
Magnitudes are limited by your magic skills — if you can’t cast a spell in normal gameplay, you can’t enchant it either.
Adding too many effects drains the weapon’s charge fast. Expect to recharge it often.
Can You Multi-Enchant Armor or Shields?
No. Only weapons can hold multiple effects. Armor and shields can have only one enchantment at a time.
Final Blurb
Yes... you can stack multiple effects. But you have to confirm each one as you go or they’ll just overwrite each other. Once you learn the trick, you’ll be slapping Drain Health, Paralyze, Silence, and Weakness to Magic on everything... until you run out of soul gems and cry.
