With Fishing in Luma Island you can catch fish for cooking, crafting, and earning gold. This guide will show you how to fish, gather bait, and even find sunken treasures. Here’s a simple guide:

1. Get Your Fishing Tools

Fishing Rod: You’ll get a basic Fishing Rod during the tutorial. You can upgrade it at Sylvia’s Anvil near the town entrance to catch fish more easily.
Bug Net: You also get a Bug Net in the tutorial. Use it to catch bugs which serve as bait.

2. Find Bait

Caterpillars: The main bait for fishing. You can catch them crawling near bushes and grass. Use your Bug Net to grab them or chop grass to make them appear.
Buy Bait: If you need more bait, you can buy it at the Fisherman’s Shop near the Town Hall.

3. Learn How to Fish

Use Bait: Equip your Fishing Rod and select bait from your inventory.
Cast Your Line: Go to a water source with visible fish and press the action button to cast your line.
Reel In the Fish: When a fish bites, a mini-game starts. Keep your bobber over the fish by moving the controls. Hold it there until the reel button appears, then press it repeatedly to catch the fish.

4. Fish Without Visible Fish

You can also fish in any water even if you don’t see fish. Just cast your line and see what you catch.

5. Find Sunken Treasures

Make Copper Magnets: Craft Copper Magnets at the Ore Smelter using Copper Bars. These are used as “bait” to find treasures.
Look for Treasure Spots: Air bubbles on the water’s surface mean there’s treasure below.
Catch the Treasure: Equip the Fishing Rod with a Copper Magnet. Cast your line toward the bubbles, and reel in to retrieve the treasure.
Clean the Treasure: Use the Treasure Hunter’s Sink to clean and process the items you find.

6. Tips for Fishing Success

Upgrade Your Fishing Rod: Upgraded rods work better and make fishing easier.
Explore New Areas: Different fish and treasures are found in ponds, rivers, and the ocean.
Stock Up on Bait: Keep catching bugs or buy bait so you’re always ready to fish.
Practice the Mini-Game: Fishing takes timing and skill. The more you practice, the better you’ll get.
