Stoneshard Cooking Guide
Cooking after Stoneshard’s Rags to Riches update is a way to turn raw ingredients like meat, fish, mushrooms, and vegetables into tasty dishes that provide better buffs. With the latest update, cooking has expanded to include more complex dishes that require multiple ingredients and special recipes.
How Cooking Works
To cook food, you need a fire source. You can use:
Campfires found in bandit camps.
Brushwood Bundles to create your own fire.
Firepits found in inns, NPC houses, or dungeons like the Bastion.
Once you’ve lit the fire, the cooking menu will open. You’ll see the recipes you already know, either from the start or from Schematas you’ve learned by buying or finding them.
Some dishes can be cooked directly over a fire, while others need a Travel Pot. If you’re at a firepit, you’ll notice there’s a built-in Big Pot, but you can’t take it with you.
Note:
Dishes like Meat Skewers can be carried in your inventory as-is. However, most dishes require a container like a Plate or Bowl to take them with you.
Ingredients have specific tags like Food, Vegetable, Meat, Fish, Berry, and Herb.
You can eat raw food if you’re desperate, but it won’t give you as many buffs—and might cause debuffs!
Spoiled food can’t be cooked.
Cooking different dishes at your Caravan Camp can increase Morale and Sanity, depending on your caravan upgrades and the dish complexity.
