Stoneshard Crafting Guide
In Stoneshard (Rags to Riches update), crafting is a key part of survival. It lets you create items using materials and ingredients you find. Crafting starts as a basic skill that you can unlock early in the game.
How to Craft
Open the Crafting Tab
You can open the crafting tab by:Clicking on the “Crafting” skill.
Using a Workbench in settlements or your caravan (if upgraded).
Crafting Categories
Crafting is divided into three categories:Basic Actions – No crafting kit or workbench needed.
Simple – Also doesn’t need a crafting kit or workbench.
Advanced – Requires a Crafting Kit or Workbench.
Finding Crafting Recipes
To craft most items, you’ll need recipes called Schematas. You can:
Buy schematas from NPCs like Herbalists, Tailors, or One-Eyed Wigmar.
Find schematas in dungeons or special locations (Points of Interest).
Crafting Categories
1. Basic Actions
Basic items can be crafted without needing special tools.
Fodder – Used to feed animals. You can make it by combining food or herbs.
Herbs → 4 Fodders
Straw → 4 Fodders
Berries → 5 Fodders
Lentils → 5 Fodders
Beet/Carrot → 6 Fodders
Grapes → 8 Fodders
Fruits → 8 Fodders
2. Simple Crafting
You can make these without a crafting kit or workbench:
Throwing Net – Requires 2 Ropes + 1 Wire
Rope – Requires 2 Hemps
Splint – Requires Rag/Bandage/Rope/Cloth Scraps + 2 Sticks
Bandage – Requires 2 Rags or Cloth Scraps
Bedroll – Requires Large/Medium Pelt + Straw/Herb + Rope
Brushwood Bundle – Requires 4 Sticks
Smoking Mix – Requires 1 Stick + 1 Hemp
3. Advanced Crafting
These items need a Crafting Kit or Workbench:
Caltrops – 2 Nails
Lockpicks – 1 Nail + 1 Wire (Schemata sold by One-Eyed Wigmar)
Smoke Bomb – Empty Chasing + Bottle of Oil + Herb/Straw + Charcoal Chunk
Repair Kit – Blacksmith Hammer + Blacksmith Tongs + Spool of Thread + Wire (Schemata found in Desolate Quarry)
Herbal Extract – Poppy + Hemp + Wormwood/Henbane
Healing Salve – Honeycomb + Bottle of Oil + Burdock/Bogbean/Burnet + Fleawort
Antitoxin – Bottle of Oil + Agrimony + Horsetail/Rhubarb
Tips for Crafting
Always check for schematas when visiting NPCs like Herbalists and Tailors.
Keep a crafting kit or find a workbench for advanced items.
Collect herbs, food, and materials during your travels—most can be used for crafting!
If you're heading into dangerous areas, bring a bedroll and some healing salves to stay prepared.
