Supermarket Simulator Online Orders Guide

Written by Tyler Harris

This guide goes over online orders in Supermarket Simulator and how they work.

Online orders unlock automatically after the 1.0 update, and they start showing up randomly during the day. They give you extra income but also add more work and time pressure while running your store.

These orders appear in waves, usually two to five at once. Each comes with a short timer and needs to be packed and delivered by hand.

Starting an Online Order

Watch for the shopping bag icon

Once an order spawns, you’ll see a bag icon pop up on the screen. Click it to view the customer name, items requested, and a countdown.

Pack items directly from your shelves

You need to drag each item into the bag manually. Only stocked shelf items count... storage does not help here.

Close the bag while still selected

Whatever name you have selected when you close the bag is the name saved to that order. If you close the wrong one, it gets labeled wrong.

Delivery is done by car

After packing, you drive the order to the matching customer icon on the map. Some are nearby... others are tucked behind buildings or across the road.

Orders are timed

Each order has about 5 to 6 minutes before it expires. If you wait too long, you lose the order and the reward.

Managing Online Deliveries

Don’t deliver during peak restocking

If your shelves are low and your staff is slow, you’ll risk missing sales while out driving.

Try to stock before orders hit

Keep your popular items filled ahead of time. If you miss even one item in the order, it still lets you deliver... but you earn less.

Use deliveries as an afternoon task

It’s often easiest to do online orders once your staff has stocked most things. If you’re low on help, it gets tricky.

Avoid rushing too many at once

Orders come in fast and often in groups. If you get five at once, pack them all before leaving to avoid wasting time driving back and forth.

Things to Watch Out For

  • The bag system is picky... label the wrong name, and it gets confusing

  • Restockers often fall behind during big order waves

  • Some items asked for in orders may already be out of stock

  • No way to boost staff during delivery time unless you’re there to click them

  • Orders can show up right as the store closes, leaving you scrambling

Final Blurb

Online orders in Supermarket Simulator are useful for fast money, but they can be annoying when you’re already overwhelmed. Keep shelves stocked, prep bags carefully, and deliver fast.

If you mess it up, just blame the cat and move on.
