Regardless of if you're a PvP grinder or just want a clean layout with good farming access, these are the strongest base spots in 1.1 based on raid defense, cave routes, and farming paths.
West Farbane (Still King)
Near Cursed Forest Cave Exit
Fastest route home from Cursed Forest shard farming
Quick access to Silverlight and Gloomrot too
Hard to beat for PvP players who want to be efficient
"Hogwarts" Cliffside Spot
Great sun trap angles
Narrow, defendable layout
Fun to build with creative traps and visuals
Dunley Farmlands (For the Planners)
Central Double-Choke Plot
Two hearts? Even better
Servant walls and backdoor banshee traps
Strong for quads or serious defenders
Mountain Ridge Plot
Tight and elevated
Easy to hold, tricky for attackers to maneuver

Long, narrow entry path

If you're looking for safety, power, and a shorter walk with your loot, West Farbane still wins. Gloomrot and Dunley have great niche picks too, especially for creative builders or group play. Just don’t waste your time on wide-open plots unless you really like rebuilding walls.
