All Classes in Cubic Odyssey – Full Class Breakdown

Cubic Odyssey gives you four class options right at the start. Each one gives passive bonuses that shape how you gather, fight, and survive across the galaxy.

Here’s what every class does.

All Four Classes in Cubic Odyssey

You pick your class during character creation, and while you can’t change it later (at least not in the demo), each one gives clear bonuses tied to a specific playstyle.

Let’s go through all four in detail.

Miner

Focus: Resource gathering and early-game efficiency

Bonuses:

  • Faster mining speed

  • Higher chance to get extra raw materials

  • Bonuses apply both on planets and in space

The Miner is all about speeding up the resource grind. You’ll get more out of every node, whether you’re farming rocks, crystals, or space debris. If you’re planning to build fast or upgrade gear without hunting for hours, this class makes a real difference.

Stacking tip: Miner pairs especially well with the QB-1 drone’s material scan, since you’ll find and harvest faster than other classes.

Crafter

Focus: Building and gear crafting

Bonuses:

  • Cheaper gear repair costs

  • Crafted gear may come with pre-installed mods

  • Overall bonus to all item crafting

The Crafter is designed for players who want to build, upgrade, and repair with less waste.

Modded gear can roll with stat bonuses straight from the crafting bench, which means you’ll get more value every time you make equipment.

Extra detail: Repair discounts are especially noticeable later, when gear costs more to maintain. This bonus scales the longer you play.

Pilot

Focus: Ship combat and travel efficiency

Bonuses:

  • Spaceship uses less energy during travel

  • Better ship shields

  • Lower ship repair costs

Pilot is the only class that directly improves your space vehicle. Once you leave the starting planet, you’ll start to feel the difference.

Less energy drain means longer travel time, better shields keep you alive longer, and repairs are cheaper when something explodes mid-flight.

Good to know: The Pilot doesn’t affect ground combat or resource gathering at all. It’s 100% focused on ship-based advantages.

Knight

Focus: Combat against Red Darkness enemies

Bonuses:

  • More damage to Red Darkness creatures

  • Faster clearing of corrupted/dark cube areas

  • Extra resources from defeated dark enemies

Knight is the only class that gives direct combat bonuses, specifically against enemies tied to the Red Darkness.

You’ll cut through corrupted areas faster and collect more loot from these foes.

Important: These bonuses only apply to “dark” enemies and corrupted zones, not general mobs or animals.

Final Blurb

Each class in Cubic Odyssey fills a specific niche, and the perks are always passive, there are no skill trees or active abilities tied to your class (at least not in the current version).

The bonuses are subtle but consistent, and they’re meant to shape how you approach survival, crafting, travel, and combat without locking you into one role.

Choose one that matches your long-term goals, because once you start, you’re locked in.

FAQ

Q: Can you switch classes later in Cubic Odyssey?

No. As of the current version, your class is locked in once you start.

Q: Do any classes have unique weapons or gear?

Not yet. All gear and items are shared across classes. Only the passive bonuses are different.

Q: Is there a best class for beginners?

Miner is usually the easiest starting point since it speeds up early resource collection and upgrades.

Q: Will more classes be added later?

There are three locked class slots visible in the demo, so yes, more classes are planned.

Q: Do class perks affect multiplayer or co-op?

Not directly, but having different classes in a team can balance resource roles and save time.
