How to Build a Base in Cubic Odyssey

There’s no blueprint system or huge checklist when it comes to building bases in Cubic Odyssey. The game pretty much says, “Here’s some blocks, figure it out.”
And that’s half the fun.
If you want to know how to set up a real home base (or ten), here’s how it all works.
Making a New Base
Step 1: Drop Something Useful
All you need to do to start a base is place something that matters, like:
A chest
A crafting station
A teleporter
Once you've placed one of those, the game will mark it as a new base automatically. No special permissions or build zones. Just slap it down and it’s yours.
Step 2: Expand However You Want
You’re not limited to a tiny hut. You can build big, weird, floating, underground, or slap-together bases anywhere.
The game doesn't care what it looks like as long as you're building in the same area.
You can even take over prebuilt structures on planets and just start putting your own stuff inside them.
As far as the game’s concerned, it’s still your base once you add a few of your own machines or storage blocks.
Managing Multiple Bases
Cubic Odyssey doesn’t stop you from making a dozen bases scattered across different planets.
Each one gets added to your teleporter list as “Base 1,” “Base 2,” and so on. But here’s the catch...
Can You Rename Bases?
There’s no way to rename your bases as of yet.
If you’ve got two places both listed as “Base 1,” you’ll just have to figure out which one’s which based on where it is on the map.
Until the the devs add the option to change names, try to place your bases in obvious spots or mark them with signs (real-life notes might not be a bad idea either).
Final Blurb
Base building in Cubic Odyssey is simple but leaves plenty of room for creativity.
Regardless of whether you’re setting up a chill little outpost or a planet-sized mining hub, all it takes is one chest or portal to get started… Just don’t expect to label anything until the devs give us a rename button.
FAQ
Q: How do I start building a base in Cubic Odyssey?
Just place a chest, crafting table, or teleporter. That’s enough to make it an official base.
Q: Can I build inside a prebuilt structure?
Yes, you can take over any structure and make it your base by placing your own items inside.
Q: Can I have multiple bases?
Yes, and each one gets added to your portal list automatically.

Not right now. The devs haven’t added that feature yet, so everything gets named “Base 1,” “Base 2,” etc.

You’ll have to use the map or remember based on the layout or location. There’s no in-game label editing yet.
