In Avowed, the maximum level is 30 and requires over 100,000 XP. While the level cap isn't as high as some other RPGs, Avowed makes up for it with a relatively deep skill tree system and plenty of customization options.

Character Progression and Skill Trees

There are four skill trees in Avowed to specialize in:

  1. Fighter: Focuses on melee combat, crowd control, and stamina management.

  2. Ranger: Specializes in agility, ranged combat, stealth, and quick melee strikes.

  3. Wizard: Masters spellcasting, elemental effects, and essence management.

  4. Godlike: Unique abilities tied to your godlike status, unlocked at key points in the story.

Abilities and Progression

  • Active Abilities: These abilities need activation and consume Essence (a limited resource). They come with cooldowns to balance their use.

  • Passive Abilities: Always active once acquired and enhance various aspects like combat or stats.

  • Abilities start at Rank 1 and can be upgraded as you level up. For example, Rank 2 abilities unlock at Level 5.

Hybrid Builds in Avowed

Yes, you can mix abilities from different skill trees to create a hybrid build. This system allows you to experiment and craft a character that suits your playstyle.

How to Respec

  • You can respec your abilities, attributes, and even your companions anytime. Here’s how:

    • Respec Abilities: Costs 100 Copper Skeyt initially, increasing with each use.

    • Respec Attributes: Also starts at 100 Copper Skeyt, letting you redistribute points.

    • Respec Companions: Requires gold to adjust companions' builds.

This respec system ensures you can adjust your character and companions as needed without restarting your progress.

Final Blurb

Reaching Level 30 in Avowed is a major milestone, and with the ability to mix abilities and respec, you can experiment with your character’s build and tailor it to your preferred playstyle. Keep leveling up, and don't forget to respec when you want to try something new!
