The 1.1 update for V Rising reshaped weapon balance and added Twinblades, giving players more tools than ever. This list focuses on PvP, especially in arenas where weapon-swapping is key. Below is where each weapon lands in the current meta.
S Tier – The Weapons Everyone Hates for a Reason
Pistols
Top burst in the game, especially with attack speed gear.
E ability deletes health bars.
Great for poke and i-frame spam.
If you're not running these... you're probably losing.
Spear
Still unmatched for Veil attack synergy and quick repositioning.
Great in duels and punishes greedy plays.
Minor 1.1 nerfs didn’t change much.
Crossbow / Longbow
Crossbow E is still the best poke tool around.
Longbow gives consistent ranged pressure with smoother combos now.
A ranged option is basically mandatory in serious PvP.
Whip
Lost some dominance, but with attack speed gear it’s brutal again.
One of the best mid-range zoning tools.
Slippery and great for chip damage pressure.
A Tier – Still Strong, Just Not Meta-Warping
Reaper
One of the best Q skills for setting up punishes.
Pairs well with CC and combo-heavy playstyles.
Strong in brawls and control comps.
Twinblades
New and already making waves.
Fast autos, good engage with Q, and great follow-up combos.
E pairs well with Reaper and other heavy hitters.
Greatsword
Solid damage dealer that’s fallen slightly from grace.
Still scary in melee trades, but more niche now.
Outshined by faster weapons in most matchups.
Mace
Surprisingly agile now thanks to faster windups.
Q hits hard and combos well.
Works great in bruiser builds with speed stacking.
B Tier – Can Work, But You’ll Sweat for It
Daggers
Q is cracked. Fast, high damage, brutal in the right hands.
The rest of the kit drags it down.
Doesn’t scale with attack speed and E is still awkward.
Very high skill floor.
Claws
E dash is still unmatched.
Good sustain with artifact variants.
Feels awkward in duels and requires consistent aggression to shine.
Axes
E can nuke, but only if you land it.
Artifact version removes most of the finesse.
Q is okay, but better tools exist.
Sword
Straightforward, decent at everything, master of none.
Recent E buff gives it more threat.
Easy to use, but not winning many duels at high levels.
Final Blurb
If you’re queuing into serious PvP, build around Pistols, Spear, and a ranged weapon. Reaper, Whip, and Twinblades fill out flexible loadouts, while slower weapons like Daggers and Axes can still work if you’re exploiting their one strong trick. If you’re not ready to juggle matchups and weapon-swaps, just pick Crossbow and Spear and start ruining people’s day.
