Blue Prince: Freezer Room Guide

The Freezer in Blue Prince is a surprisingly powerful room with a very simple job: saving your stuff for later. If you’re looking for a way to carry more resources across multiple runs, this chilly little room is one of the best friends you can have.
Here’s how it works.

What the Freezer Does
When you draft the Freezer, anything you pick up while inside—coins, gems, keys—gets “frozen.” That means they’ll still be there the next time you return. Unlike other rooms where items vanish at the end of the day, the Freezer lets you stash extra resources for future use.
It’s basically your emergency snack drawer, except instead of granola bars and expired hummus, it’s gold and treasure keys.
How to Unfreeze Items
The catch? Items inside the Freezer get, well… frozen. You won’t be able to interact with them until they’ve been thawed out.
You have two options:
Draft a Sauna or Furnace nearby. Heat-based rooms placed next to the Freezer will defrost the loot, letting you collect it normally.
Bring a Burning Glass or Torch. These items let you melt the ice manually. Just interact with the frozen items and choose to thaw them out.
Tip: If you’re trying to store a lot of treasure, it’s a good idea to drop a Furnace right next to the Freezer from the start.
Where to Find It
The Freezer is a Common Room, and it’s one of the more frequent ones you’ll see as you explore the manor. It doesn’t require gems to draft and it’s usually safe from most major room penalties.

Why It’s Worth Drafting
You can freeze extra gems or keys for future runs
Helps build a stash for difficult puzzles or expensive rooms
Saves resources on days when you’ve hit a dead end and need to regroup
Final Blurb
The Freezer doesn’t look flashy, and it’s not going to reveal any big story secrets. But once you realize how many high-cost rooms and items show up later in Blue Prince, you’ll be glad you stocked a few rainy-day gems on ice. Just remember to thaw them out—or you’ll be rich and freezing.
