Blue Prince: Keycard Guide

The Keycard in Blue Prince is a small item with big implications. If you’ve ever been stopped by a cold, metallic security door, this is what you need to slip past it without rewiring the whole house.
What the Keycard Does
The Keycard opens any of the game’s electronically-powered security doors.
These doors are common in later areas of the manor and often guard important rooms, shortcuts, and loot.
Once you have a Keycard, no more rerouting power or hoping you remembered to flip the right breaker. Just walk up and open the door.
Where to Find the Keycard
Keycards are randomly placed, so you won’t find one in the same spot every time. They can appear in:
The Billiards Room (as a reward for solving the puzzle)
Archives (lying around or inside a desk)
Pool Room (often found on furniture)
Trunks or Lockboxes (requires a regular Key)
Locksmith’s vendor pool (rarely sold)
Keycards aren’t necessarily rare, but they’re never guaranteed.
How to Use It Wisely
Visit the Security Terminal and raise the Security Level to High once you have a Keycard. That way, more doors will appear, and you won’t have to rely on keys or gems.
If you don’t have a Keycard, go to the Utility Closet and use the Breaker Box to disable the security system. This lets you bypass the doors entirely.
You can store a Keycard in the Coat Room to keep it safe for future days.

Final Blurb
Keycards are like backstage passes in Blue Prince and grant you more options than you’d otherwise have.
If you find one, hold onto it. If you don’t, go flick some breakers and pray to the RNG gods. Either way, progress is just one beep away.
