Fields of Mistria Update 3 adds new romance events, skill caps, and major quality-of-life changes across nearly every system. It launched on July 21, 2025, and is the game’s largest update so far.
Villager Romance Upgrades
The NPC heart cap is now 8 instead of 6.
All dateable villagers have a unique 8-heart event. You can choose between a Romance route or a Best Friend route. Each path changes the dialogue and event scenes.
A new dating mechanic has also been added. It unlocks once you're at 8 hearts with a romanceable NPC.
Mines and Monsters
New monster types now appear in the mines.
Some monsters have new variants, and certain enemies drop cosmetic items. These items are unlockable, not craftable.
Combat difficulty remains the same, but enemy visuals and rewards are more varied.
Renown and Town Progress
Town Renown now caps 5 levels higher.
More Request Board tasks have been added. These are spread across early and midgame.
Museum collections have expanded. New set rewards include furniture and town decor.
There are two new Saturday Market vendors. Both are locked behind Town Repairs.
A new festival is also in the game. It happens later in the in-game year but is available in the current version.
Skill Level Increases
All major skills can now reach level 60.
Tier 4 and Tier 5 perks have been added. These are unlockable at higher levels and give new passive bonuses.
XP curve for levels 46 to 60 is gradual. You don’t need to grind, but it takes time.
Home and Cosmetic Upgrades
Your house can be upgraded once more.
New player cosmetics, decor, and furniture sets are available. These unlock from vendors, quests, and chests.
The game does not lock any cosmetic items behind events.
Storage and Greenhouse
Chests are larger. UI for storage has been updated to show more at once.
The greenhouse is now live. It allows crop growing year-round, regardless of season.
This building unlocks after a Town Repair and does not replace outdoor farming.
