It’s finally happening—Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PS5 on April 29, 2025. After years of being an Xbox and PC exclusive, the open-world racing hit is making the jump to PlayStation, bringing high-speed thrills to a whole new crowd.

A Long Road to PlayStation

Originally released in 2021, Forza Horizon 5 quickly became one of the top open-world racing games, thanks to its massive Mexico-based map and non-stop updates. A few years ago, the idea of a Forza game on PlayStation sounded ridiculous, but rumors started swirling in August 2024. Now, it’s official.

What’s the Price?

  • Standard Edition: $59.99

  • Premium Edition: $99.99 (Includes 4-day early access starting April 25, 2025)

Some PlayStation fans might side-eye that price, considering the game has been out on Xbox and PC for years, but at least it’s bringing some strong performance options:

  • Performance Mode: 60 FPS

  • Quality Mode: 30 FPS with ray-traced car reflections (for that extra shine, especially on PS5 Pro)

  • Cross-platform multiplayer so PlayStation, Xbox, and PC players can race together.

Big Update: Horizon Realms

Dropping April 25, 2025, Horizon Realms is a major update bringing:

  • 11 classic Evolving World locations (Stunt Park, Ice Rink, Neon Airstrip, and more)

  • A brand-new Stadium Track for high-speed racing

  • Two modes: Skill Mode (leaderboards) and Free Mode (just vibes)

  • 60+ new challenges with rewards like #Forzathon Points, exclusive badges, and four new cars:

    • 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto

    • 2023 Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato

    • 2018 Lotus Exige Cup 430

    • 2022 Hennessey Mammoth 6x6

With Forza Horizon 5 finally landing on PlayStation, the series is stepping onto new ground. Now the real question—will Gran Turismo fans be willing to share the road?
