The world of RuneScape: Dragonwilds is as beautiful as it is unforgiving. From toxic swamps to shattered cliffs, each region has its own flavor of “why is everything trying to kill me?”

Here’s a full breakdown of every region in RuneScape: Dragonwilds and what they contain.

All RuneScape Dragon Wilds Regions

Bloodblight Swamp

Difficulty: Extremely High
Atmosphere: Rotting, poisoned, and full of regret

  • You’ll start losing health immediately just by walking here—this place doesn’t wait around.

  • Bring antidotes. Lots of them.

  • Poison is ambient, and the enemies are worse.

  • Despite all that, rare resources and high-tier crafting materials make it worth the trip... sometimes.

Bramblemead Valley

Difficulty: Low
Atmosphere: Peaceful-ish, with occasional goblin problems

  • This is one of the two starter areas, along with Temple Woods.

  • Great for setting up a base, crafting early armor, and experimenting with new builds.

  • Mild enemies, plenty of wood and stone, and decent farming spots.

  • Also centrally located, so it’s a solid hub for fast travel.

  • You can get the Staff of Light recipe here.

Fractured Plains

Difficulty: Moderate to High
Atmosphere: Barren, cracked, and crawling with things that bite

  • This is where you’ll first find Tin and Copper, used to make Bronze Bars.

  • Dangerous creatures roam freely, and most of them are faster than you’d like.

  • There are vaults here too, so bring gear that can take a hit (or ten).

  • Keep your head on a swivel—this place punishes sloppy play.

Stormtouched Highlands

Difficulty: Brutal
Atmosphere: Windy, rocky, and full of enemies that lift weights

  • Easily the most dangerous region in Dragonwilds (so far).

  • You’ll need high-tier armor and weapons just to survive a stroll.

  • Has some of the best ore in the game, and it’s guarded by enemies who don’t skip leg day.

  • Also home to rams—yes, the kind you need for Abyssal Whip crafting. Worth the trauma.

Temple Woods

Difficulty: Low
Atmosphere: Calm before the storm

  • The other starter area, slightly quieter than Bramblemead Valley.

  • Good for learning basic survival, gathering resources, and building your first tools.

  • Houses some early NPCs and crafting stations.

  • Near important early-game areas like the Rune Altar and the Runecrafting Guild.

Whispering Swamp

Difficulty: Medium
Atmosphere: Foggy, creepy, slow

  • The swamp is basically a natural roadblock between safe zones and the tougher regions up north.

  • Movement is slowed significantly, and enemies are tougher than they look.

  • Use solid ground or spells like Windstep to speed through it.

  • There’s some decent loot here if you’re brave (or reckless).

Final Blurb

RuneScape: Dragonwilds doesn’t hand you a golden path, but instead gives you six biomes and tells you, “good luck.” Start in the south, build smart, stock antidotes, and once you know what you're doing... ignore everything and go fight a dragon. Alphabetically, of course.
