How to Get the Abyssal Whip in RuneScape: Dragonwilds

The Abyssal Whip is one of the strongest melee weapons in Dragonwilds. You can’t craft it early and it doesn’t just drop off any random monster. You’ll need to fight the Abyssal Demon, travel through a dangerous area, and collect parts from two very different places.

Here’s how to do it.

Fight the Abyssal Demon

Go to the far left side of the Whispering Swamp. There’s a rune-marked building near the edge. Use the Windstep spell to get onto the roof.

From up there, you can hit the Abyssal Demon without it being able to hit you back. It just stands there. Doesn’t move. Free hits. (This might get fixed in a future patch.)

When you kill it, it drops Abyssal Spines. You need two of these to make the whip.

Get Ram Horns

You won’t find these in the Fractured Plains. Rams live in the Stormtouched Highlands so bring good gear and be ready to run. Once you’ve found a ram, defeat it and collect the horns. You only need one for the whip.

Craft the Whip

Go back to your base and check your crafting station. You’ll need a Vault Core unlocked for this tier of recipe.

To craft the Abyssal Whip, you’ll need:

• 2 Abyssal Spines

• 1 Ram Horn

• anything else your crafting menu shows

Once made, the whip has fast attacks and high melee damage. It’s one of the best weapons available right now.
