How to Defeat the Abyssal Demon in RuneScape: Dragonwilds Guide

The Abyssal Demon might sound terrifying—and it kind of is, until you realize it has one fatal flaw: it can’t climb. Yep, this big scary monster is violently allergic to vertical movement, which means there’s a very simple strategy to beat it.
Here’s how to make the Abyssal Demon look like a confused tour guide.
Step 1: Find the Abyssal Demon Location
See map below
Head to the left side of Whispering Swamp. Look for a rune-covered building near the demon’s spawn. It’s easy to spot—and kind of suspiciously placed, if we’re being honest.
Step 2: Use Windstep to Get on the Roof
Use the Windstep spell to jump onto the roof of the rune building
From this spot, you can see the Abyssal Demon below
It’ll see you too—but don’t worry, it won’t do anything about it
Step 3: Bring a Ranged Weapon
Equip a bow, or even better, a staff with Air or Fire runes.
Start attacking
The demon will just stand there, completely helpless
You’ll take zero damage, guaranteed
Why This Cheese Method Works
The Abyssal Demon can’t path up to the roof. It won’t throw projectiles. It won’t teleport. It just... gives up. Until the devs patch it, this is the safest way to farm the drops you need for the Abyssal Whip.
