Heartstrings Quest Guide – RuneScape: Dragonwilds

If you’re aiming to get your hands on the Crystal Bow in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, you’ll need to complete the Heartstrings quest. It’s a hidden side quest—not marked by NPCs or regular quest logs—and it's the only way to unlock one of the best bows in the game.
Here’s a simple quest walkthrough and guide.
How to Start the Heartstrings Quest
Go to the Fractured Plains.
Head toward the top of the peak with the giant blue tree.
To reach it, you'll need to build platforms and stairs—there’s no direct path.
Once you reach the top, you’ll see a grave next to the big blue tree.
Interact with the grave to trigger the quest. Go through all the dialogue!!!
What the Quest Involves
The Heartstrings quest asks you to:
Follow a trail of graves, each located under a large blue tree.
There are seven graves total, including the one you started at.
The trail leads east through Ghornfell, past other blue trees.
You need to interact with each grave in order, without dying.
Important:
If you die before activating all the graves in the correct order, you’ll have to start over from the first one.
There are no quest markers, so pay close attention to the trees.
Reward: Unlocking the Crystal Bow
Once you finish the trail you’ll unlock the Crystal Bow Recipe which comes with a special skill (Shattershot) making it well worth teh while. Click here to see how to make the bow.
