Building a bridge in RoadCraft sounds simple until your truck ends up floating in a river because of a tiny gap you didn’t notice.

If you forgot how it works or just unlocked your first bridge objective, here’s exactly how to build a bridge properly in RoadCraft... without having to redo it ten times.

Open the Bridge Menu

Start by opening your map screen.

Then use R1 (or RB) to scroll over to the Bridges tab.

If it’s empty, that means the bridge option isn’t available yet for your current level or objective.

When it is available, you’ll see all buildable bridge points marked on the map.

Pick a Bridge Location

Select the bridge you want to place.

You’ll now be asked to choose a starting point for the bridge.

This part can be a little awkward... the spot you click isn’t always the actual edge of the bridge.

If the placement looks weird or slightly off, press Circle or B to undo it and try again.

Better to reset now than fix a broken road later.

Drag the Bridge to the End Point

Once the start point looks good, click and drag to set the endpoint.

Always aim to overlap both ends slightly into the terrain.

If you leave a gap between the land and the bridge... good luck getting anything across it.

Even a tiny space will stop AI convoys, trailers, and sometimes you.

Confirm It or Delete and Try Again

If everything looks solid, confirm the placement.

But if you change your mind later, hold Square or X on the bridge to remove it completely.

Then just go back to the menu and try again.

You won’t lose any resources doing this.

Deliver the Materials

Once the bridge is placed, it’ll show you which materials are needed to build it.

Drive to either end of the bridge and drop off the required materials in the construction zones.

That’s it. Once the needed parts are delivered, the bridge will auto-build.

You can now cross it... or send a convoy across and hope they don’t drive into a lake.

Final Blurb & FAQ

Bridge building in RoadCraft is part construction, part guessing game, and part hoping the terrain isn’t secretly cursed.

Always double-check placement before hauling materials... it’ll save you a headache later.
