Doctor Strange is a Vanguard hero with powerful defensive and area-control abilities, however, Strange struggles against heroes who can disrupt his setups or bypass his defensive tools. Here’s what heroes to play and how to counter Doctor Strange:

Vanguard Counters

Hulk: Gamma Grenade (LShift) knocks Doctor Strange airborne, interrupting his spells and leaving him vulnerable. Hulk’s Incredible Leap (Space) allows him to engage quickly, forcing Strange into close combat where he is less effective.
Venom: Cellular Corrosion (Right Click) slows Strange, limiting his ability to reposition or escape. Feast of the Abyss (Q) allows Venom to ambush Strange and deal heavy damage while healing himself.
Groot: Strangling Prison (Q) pulls Strange to the center of a vine cluster, immobilizing him and preventing him from using his portals effectively. Thornlash Wall (LShift) creates barriers to block Strange’s movement or zone him out.
