If you're looking for Abyssal Ashes, there's only one place to get them—and it’s not from a shop or a crafting table. You’ll have to go straight to the source.
Where to Get Abyssal Ashes
Abyssal Ashes drop from the Abyssal Demon.
You’ll find the Abyssal Demon in the Whispering Swamp, near a rune-marked building.
Use the Windstep spell to reach the roof, where you can safely attack it without getting hit (yes, it still works—for now).
After defeating the demon, there’s a chance it will drop Abyssal Ashes along with other rare loot.
What Abyssal Ashes Are For
As far as we are aware, Abyssal Ashes do not have a known use at this point in early access. They are not required for crafting or quests. If that changes in a future update we’ll be sure to update that here.

No shortcuts here. If you want Abyssal Ashes, you’ve got to take down the Abyssal Demon. Just don’t stand too close—or do, if you like respawning.
