How to Get the Generator in RoadCraft

Getting the generator in RoadCraft sounds simple, but it’s actually one of the trickier early tasks. The game doesn’t hold your hand much, and this objective can mess you up if you aren’t paying attention to terrain, controls, or vehicle choice.
Here’s exactly where to go, what to do, and how not to flip your truck five times on the way back.

Follow the Marker to the Abandoned Facility
You’ll start by tracking a mission marker that leads to a spot called the Abandoned Facility on your map. It looks like an old construction zone.
Use your Scout vehicle for this, since it’s the only thing agile enough to reach it without getting stuck every two feet.
When you get close, the game will show a pop-up tutorial about the Object Scanner. That’s your cue to start looking up, not around.
Scan the Area and Spot the Generator
Stand near the building and use the scanner to highlight a container on the top floor of the construction site.
You can't just walk in and grab it, though. You’ll need to find a side path with a wooden wall you can break through.
Drive a bit farther past the main entrance and you’ll get another tutorial prompt once you're close enough. Push through the wall and drive carefully up the ramps.
Break More Walls, Then Loop Back
At the top, you’ll hit a second wooden wall. Smash through it, then carefully reverse your way back down. You’re not done yet.
There’s one more wall at ground level that opens the final route up to the generator.
Climb up this new section and you should see the generator right ahead.
Winch the Generator from the Back
Use your Winch to attach the generator to the rear of your truck. Yes, rear. If you try dragging it from the front, you're basically begging to tip over on every bump.
Make sure the line’s secure, then start heading out.
The Road Back is Sketchy
This isn’t just a grab-and-go job. The exit path is narrow, with cliffs, bumps, and some tight turns. Keep it slow and stable.
Smash through the final barrier and pull the generator into the glowing drop-off circle.
That’s it. You’ve finished the first big challenge in RoadCraft.
You can now use the retrieve option in the menu to instantly return to your base; no need to drive all the way back unless you’re feeling brave or really like wasting fuel.
Final Blurb & FAQ
That generator mission is your first real taste of how RoadCraft expects you to think, plan, and not panic when things start sliding off a cliff.
Get used to tricky terrain and slow winching, because this is just the start.
