How to Repair Items in Dune Awakening

Written by Tyler Harris

To repair gear in Dune: Awakening, you’ll need a Repair Station for tools and weapons, a Welding Torch for vehicles, and a Construction Tool for base structures. Each one has its own rules, and yes... you’re going to need resources, so plan ahead.

How to Repair Items in Dune: Awakening (Armor, Weapons, and Tools)

Build the Repair Station

Start by completing the Maintenance quest found in the Vermillius Gap Journey Log. This unlocks the Repair Station, which is the only way to fix damaged armor or weapons.

After building it, interact with the station, slot in your gear, and supply the right materials. You’ll need a few pieces from the original crafting recipe to complete a repair.

Make Sure You Have Circuit Power

The Repair Station uses +20 circuit power, so if your generator is weak, it might not run. Always double-check your power grid before wondering why things aren’t working.

How to Repair Vehicles

Use the Welding Torch

Craft a Welding Torch MK1 and Welding Wire using the Fabricator. Then, equip the torch, walk up to your vehicle (like a sandbike), and interact to repair it.

Each fix eats up wire fast, especially if your ride’s been through the desert a few too many times. Keep extras on hand if you travel often.

How to Repair Base Structures

Use the Construction Tool

You’ll already have this if you built a base. Equip it, stand inside your Sub-fief zone, and aim it at any broken wall or part of your base.

Swap to the Repair option in the bottom right menu and patch things up. It’s way easier than rebuilding from scratch... and cheaper.

Final Blurb

Stuff breaks fast on Arrakis, and repairs aren’t optional unless you enjoy getting stranded or clobbered mid-mission. Just remember which tool you need for which job, and maybe keep a few extra wires in your pocket.

You know... for emergencies.
