So, you want to stab things in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2? Maybe you miss the old days of quick, precise pokes to the face, or perhaps you just want to efficiently end a duel without all the unnecessary slashing. Either way, stabbing is still in KCD2—you just need to know how to do it properly.

Note: Use a pointy weapon!

How to Stab in KCD2

Unlike the original KCD, where stabbing had its own dedicated button, KCD2 makes things a little different. Here’s how to land those sweet, pointy attacks:

1. Use the Combat Star

  • When locked onto an enemy, the combat star (that five-point directional indicator) will guide your attacks.

  • To stab, aim at the bottom point of the star and press the attack button.

  • If done right, Henry will lunge forward with a thrust instead of swinging like a lunatic.

2. Hold Block + Attack While Free Cam (No Lock-On)

  • If you're not locked onto an enemy, you can hold the block button and then press the attack button to perform a stab.

  • This method gives you a little more control over your movement while still delivering a precise thrust.

3. Aim Down (If the Game Is Being Picky)

  • Some players have found that simply aiming downward while attacking naturally triggers a stab instead of a swing.

  • If you’re struggling to land consistent pokes, try adjusting your camera angle slightly.

Is Stabbing as Good as Before?

The short answer? Yes, but also no.

  • Pros: Stabs are still fast, and well-placed pokes can slip through armor better than slashes.

  • Cons: Stabs now seem to be more torso-focused, and you can’t target the face as easily as in the original game. (RIP, Headcracker cheese.)

Final Blurb

Yes, stabbing still exists in KCD2, but you might need to tweak your approach compared to the first game. Experiment with your combat star positioning, block mechanics, and camera angle to get those sweet, satisfying pokes. Now go forth and stab responsibly—unless it’s Hans. Then do what you must.
