If you’ve gathered a ton of resources and wish you could just waygate home, then we’ve got good news. There’s a simple way to teleport with items, but it depends on how your server is set up.

How To Enable Teleporting With Items

To carry items through waygates:

  1. Start a Private Server
You need to either host or create your own server. This option doesn’t work in official online servers.

  2. Open Advanced Game Settings
When creating the server, click on Advanced Game Settings.

  3. Find the “Teleport Bound Items” Setting
Under the Items section, you’ll see a checkbox called Teleport Bound Items.

    • Checked: You cannot teleport with restricted resources.

    • Unchecked: You can teleport with any items freely.

  4. Untick the Box
Disable the teleportation limits by unchecking the box. You’ll now be able to teleport with all items.

Note: Once the server has started, this setting can’t be changed retroactively.

Why Disable Teleport Limits?

  • PvE/Single Player Convenience
Running home every time you gather can get tedious. Turning off limits makes farming and crafting less of a chore.

  • Reduced PvP Risk (Private Servers)
If you’re not interested in open-world ambushes, allowing teleporting can help you avoid unnecessary fights.

  • Streamlined Gameplay
Especially for solo players or small groups, disabling limits can speed up progression without affecting game balance.

Final Blurb

If you want to skip long, dangerous treks and haul your loot through waygates, setting up your server to allow teleporting with items is the way to go. Just remember… Official servers won’t allow it!
