Hunts are special missions in Final Fantasy XIV where you track and defeat powerful monsters called Marks. They’re a great way to earn rewards like Grand Company seals, experience points, and Allied or Centurio Seals. Here’s how to unlock Hunts step by step.

1. Reach Level 50

You need to be at least Level 50 to start unlocking Hunts. If you’re not Level 50 yet, focus on completing the Main Story Quests (MSQ) and other activities to level up.

2. Complete the Quest “Let the Hunt Begin”

Once you’re Level 50 and have joined a Grand Company, talk to the Hunt NPC in your Grand Company’s headquarters. The NPCs for this quest are:

  • Maelstrom: R’ashaht Rhiki in Limsa Lominsa

  • Twin Adder: Vorsaile Heuloix in Gridania

  • Immortal Flames: Flame Commander Swift in Ul’dah

They will give you the quest “Let the Hunt Begin.” Completing this quest unlocks Rank 1 Hunts for your Grand Company.

3. Unlock Higher-Level Hunts

After finishing the first Hunt quest, you can unlock stronger Hunts as you progress through the game. Here’s how:

Level 50+ Hunts

  • Complete the quest “Let the Clan Hunt Begin” in Foundation (Ishgard). This unlocks Heavensward Hunts and requires you to have access to the Heavensward expansion.

  • Speak to Aytienne at Foundation (x12.6, y11.6) to get started.

Level 60+ Hunts

  • Complete the quest “Elite and Dangerous” in Rhalgr’s Reach to unlock Stormblood Hunts. You’ll need to have access to the Stormblood expansion.

  • Speak to Estrild in Rhalgr’s Reach (x13.1, y11.8).

Level 70+ Hunts

  • Complete the quest “Nuts to You” in The Crystarium to unlock Shadowbringers Hunts. You’ll need access to the Shadowbringers expansion.

  • Speak to Huntmaster at The Crystarium (x9.4, y9.5).

Level 80+ Hunts

  • Complete the quest “The Hunt for Specimens” in Old Sharlayan to unlock Endwalker Hunts. You’ll need access to the Endwalker expansion.

  • Speak to Diminutive Gleaner at Old Sharlayan (x11.2, y12.0).

4. Start Hunting Marks

After unlocking Hunts, open your Hunt Board in your Grand Company or expansion areas. You’ll see a list of Marks to hunt. Marks are ranked by difficulty:

  • Rank B, A, and S for stronger enemies.

  • Daily and Weekly Hunts for bonus rewards.

Bonus Tips

  • Always check your Hunt Boards daily for new Marks.

  • Join Hunt groups in your server to track down elite Marks like Rank A or S.

  • Use the rewards (Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, Nuts) to buy gear, crafting materials, and other useful items.

By following these steps, you’ll unlock Hunts and be ready to take down powerful enemies for amazing rewards.
