The Invaders side quest is one of the first available quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. It begins in Troskowitz and involves dealing with a group of Cumans who have been causing trouble. Depending on your choices, you can either resolve things peacefully or take a more aggressive approach.
1. Start the Quest
Quest Giver: Innkeeper Betty (Troskowitz)
Prerequisite: Complete the game introduction and clean yourself up.
Betty will tell you about some Cumans causing trouble and direct you to Vuytek.
2. Talk to Vuytek
Vuytek is found in the Apothecary’s garden, tending to plants.
He wants to make sure the Cumans don’t return to Troskowitz.
You have three choices:
Come back later after talking to the Cumans.
Refuse to help, ending the quest early.
Accept the quest and go deal with the Cumans (recommended).
3. Travel to Semine
Travel south to Semine and ask about the Cumans.
Speak with Captain Gnarly, who says they’ve joined up with the Nomads.
You can also ask the Shepherd or Bozhena for more details, but they don’t provide much new information.
Head to the Nomad camp and then go down the slope to the west to find the Cuman camp.
4. Talk to Vasko
Vasko is the leader of the Cumans at the camp.
Tell him to stay away from Troskowitz:
If you threaten him, the quest turns hostile and you’ll have to fight.
The best choice is to warn him calmly: "I just wanted to warn you."
He will offer you a drink—accept it to unlock more dialogue and the best quest outcome.
5. Drinking with the Cumans
While drinking, you can ask Vasko about:
Skalitz and Henry’s past.
Sigismund and their experiences in the war.
A skill check lets you pretend to enjoy the drink (optional).
Eventually, Vasko mentions Jasak, a Cuman who likes a Nomad woman but hasn’t had luck with her.
6. Convincing the Nomad Woman (Optional)
If you agree to help Jasak, follow him to speak with the woman.
You will need high Speech (14+) to convince her to give Jasak a chance.
If you fail the skill check, Jasak will fight you out of frustration.
If you win the fight, you can continue the quest as normal.
7. Drunken Adventure
After returning to the Cuman camp, Henry and Vasko will continue drinking and talking.
Eventually, they run out of alcohol and decide to search for more.
Follow Vasko, but be careful, as Henry will start hallucinating a talking dog due to being extremely drunk.
The alcohol stash is found inside a crevice between two rocks just past Vasko’s passed-out body.
8. Final Agreement with the Cumans
Return to the Cuman camp with the alcohol.
If you kept drinking and stayed friendly, Vasko agrees to stay away from Troskowitz.
If you didn’t, you have three options:
Pay them off to leave.
Use skill checks to persuade them.
Fight them (hostile outcome).
9. Return to Vuytek
Wait until you sober up before talking to Vuytek, or he won’t believe you.
You can lie and say you killed the Cumans (Speech 10+ needed).
If you successfully convinced the Cumans to leave peacefully, Vuytek rewards you with 25 Groschen.
If you killed the Cumans, their allies will be hostile to you later in the game.
Quest Complete
By handling the situation peacefully, you keep the Cumans as potential allies while avoiding unnecessary bloodshed. If you took the violent route, expect future encounters with hostile Cumans. Either way, you’ve ensured Troskowitz’s safety—for now.
