Oblivion Remastered: How to Put Things in Chests

If you just started playing Oblivion Remastered and can’t figure out how to store stuff... don’t worry. A lot of players are missing this because it’s not explained well at all.
How to Put Items in Chests (PC)
Walk up to the chest or container.
Press F (not E) to search.
This opens the container and your inventory at the same time.
Click on the item in your inventory that you want to store. It will move to the chest.
If you press E, it only inspects the container and won’t let you move anything.
How to Put Items in Chests (Console — Xbox and PlayStation)
Xbox:
Go to the chest and press R3 (press the right stick).
Press LB to switch to your inventory.
Highlight the item you want to store and press A.
PlayStation:
Press R3 at the chest.
Press L1 to open your inventory.
Select the item and press X to store it.
If you just press A or X without using R3/LB/L1, it won’t do anything. This has confused a ton of players.
Final Blurb
Yes... putting things in chests is way harder than it should be in Oblivion Remastered. Once you learn the right buttons, though, you’ll finally stop running around over-encumbered like everyone else.
