Not all Slayer tasks are worth doing in OSRS. Some are great for XP, some are great for profit, and some are just a waste of time. This guide lists the best tasks you should always do, the ones to skip, and the ones you only do for money.
S-Tier Slayer Tasks (Always Do)
Smoke devils
Best XP task in the game with Ice Barrage
Drops cover rune costs
Use cannon to lure, then barrage for 150k/hr
Dust devils
High XP with Barrage or Venator bow
Found in Catacombs of Kourend
Profitable and semi-AFK
Nechryael
Good XP with Barrage
Great drops with melee in Slayer Tower
Easy to farm with Venator bow or Scythe
Bloodvelds (Mutated)
80–100k XP/hr with cannon in Meiyerditch Labs
Decent drops
Avoid normal ones unless desperate
Dagannoth
Fast cannon task
Decent XP and quick to clear
Good for points, but not for loot
A-Tier Slayer Tasks (Do If Efficient)
Kalphites
Solid cannon task
Very fast and low effort
Bad profit, but great XP
Ankous
Barrage in Catacombs or Wilderness Slayer Cave
High XP but rune cost adds up
Great if you need fast levels
Dark beasts
Easy with decent drops
Low effort and unextended = fast XP
