How to Use the Shockwave Grenade in R.E.P.O.

The Shockwave Grenade is what you throw when you want monsters to stop moving and regret their life choices. It damages enemies and disables their movement, making it a great panic button when things get out of control. If you ever wanted to freeze a charging creature in place while also blasting it with a little pain, this grenade is for you.

How It Works

  • Throw It at Enemies

    • Sounds obvious, but placement matters. The grenade explodes on impact, so make sure it actually hits something or lands near a group.

    • Aim for tight spaces or choke points where enemies are funneled together for maximum effect.

  • Damage and Stun

    • The explosion damages anything caught in the blast radius.

    • On top of that, it completely locks down movement, so enemies will just sit there, stunned, questioning their choices.

  • Use It to Escape or Attack

    • Since monsters can’t move when hit, you can use the time to reload, reposition, or unload more firepower on them.

    • If you’re overwhelmed, throw it down and make a quick getaway while they’re still processing what just happened.

Best Times to Use the Shockwave Grenade

  • When you’re surrounded. Toss it at a group to freeze them in place and create breathing room.

  • When you need a clean shot. Stops fast-moving enemies so you can actually hit them.

  • When you want to control an area. Combine with Shockwave Mines to keep monsters stuck longer.

Final Blurb

The Shockwave Grenade is a lifesaver and a fight-starter all in one. It gives you time to think, deal damage, or just get the heck out of there. Whether you use it to set up an attack or make a clean escape, it’s a tool that no smart repo agent should leave home without.
