In Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR), speeders (or mounts) are personal vehicles that allow you to travel faster across planets and areas. Here's how to use a speeder:

1. Obtain Speeder Piloting Training

  • Level Requirement:

    • Subscribers: Eligible at Level 10.

    • Free-to-Play and Preferred Players: Eligible at Level 20.

  • Training Process:

    • Visit a Class Trainer located on your faction's fleet or main planet.

    • Speak to the trainer and purchase the Speeder Piloting I skill.

2. Purchase a Speeder

  • Speeder Vendors:

    • Located on the Republic Fleet (Carrick Station) and Imperial Fleet (Vaiken Spacedock).

    • Also found on various planets, such as Tatooine.

  • Buying a Speeder:

    • Approach the vendor and browse the available speeders.

    • Purchase the speeder; it will appear in your inventory.

3. Use Your Speeder

  • Activate the Speeder:

    • Open your inventory and right-click on the speeder item.

    • This action adds the speeder to your Abilities under the Vehicles tab.

  • Summon the Speeder:

    • Press the "P" key to open the Abilities menu.

    • Navigate to the Vehicles section.

    • Locate your speeder and drag its icon to your quickbar for easy access.

    • Click the speeder icon on your quickbar to summon it.

Speeder Tips

  • Mounting Restrictions:

    • You cannot mount your speeder in certain areas, such as indoors or in combat zones.

    • If attacked while mounted, there's a chance you'll be dismounted.

  • Speed Enhancements:

    • Higher levels of Speeder Piloting training increase your travel speed and reduce the chance of being knocked off.

    • These advanced trainings become available as you level up.
