In Avowed, you’ll encounter a tough moral decision involving the Leviathan Heart during the Heart of Valor side quest. Here's a breakdown on what you can do with the Leviathan Heart, and what will happen:

1. Give Keipo the Leviathan Heart

  • Keipo will thank you for helping him end his life before the Dreamscourge takes over. He believes this will spare his loved ones from greater pain.

  • Chiko will be extremely angry, saying they hope you never return to Thirdborn.

  • Reward: Keipo will give you Umpara’s Spear, a unique weapon with the following stats:

    • Physical Damage: 88

    • Stun: 84

    • Critical Hit Chance: 6%

    • Enchantments:

      • Deadly Mechanism: Power attacks launch a poison dart.

      • Strike the Heart: +25% critical hit damage.

2. Don’t Give Keipo the Leviathan Heart

  • Keipo will feel like the situation will end badly for Chiko and the rest of Thirdborn. He might blame you for dooming them.

  • You will talk to Chiko, telling them that Keipo has the Dreamscourge and wanted to die on his own terms. This is a tough conversation where Chiko has to decide how to handle their uncle’s wishes.

  • Reward: Instead of helping Keipo die, Chiko gives you Keipo’s Armor:

    • Stormdancer’s Scale (Medium Armor):

      • Damage Reduction: 15%

      • Additional Damage Reduction: 47%

      • Sheltering Gale: 5% chance to avoid ranged damage

      • Shock-Proofed: +30% resistance to Shock

    • Stormdancer’s Gloves: +10% Ability Cast Speed

    • Stormdancer’s Boots: -10% incoming Fire, Frost, and Shock damage

    • Stormdancer’s Ring: +10% Shock Damage

Best Outcome:

While giving Keipo the Leviathan Heart rewards you with a useful spear, refusing to give it to him provides far better rewards, including powerful armor and allowing Chiko to spend time with their uncle before he passes. You avoid playing a part in someone’s death while getting great gear.

If you prefer the physical rewards and want to avoid complicating things, not giving the Leviathan Heart is the best choice.
