How to Unlock Nightmare Crownless
To unlock Nightmare Crownless, you need to finish the Ruins Where Shadows Roam quest and discover all the Dream Patrol challenges in Penitent’s End.
Open your map and go to Penitent’s End.
Select Ruins Where Shadows Roam from the left-side menu to track it.
Follow the objectives and complete the short quest chain.
Discover the marked Dream Patrol challenges. You don’t have to complete the Dream Patrols — just finding them is enough.
After finishing these steps, Nightmare Crownless will appear inside Penitent’s End.

Nightmare Crownless is located inside Penitent’s End.
Once it spawns, you can find it while exploring the ruins. It's tied to the area’s Nightmare Echo fights, so make sure you have completed the required Dream Patrols first.
If the boss isn’t showing up, double-check that you’ve started Dream Patrol I and progressed far enough into Chapter 2 of the story.
How to Get Phantom Nightmare Crownless
A Phantom (shiny) version of Nightmare Crownless is available through the Dreaming Deep event.
Participate during the event to unlock the Phantom color variant for your Echo collection.
