Atlyss: How to Get More Skills
Written by Alec Blackwood
You get more skills in Atlyss by leveling up, spending skill points, unlocking subclasses, and using mastery scrolls. Most combat skills are tied to your class or weapon type.
Each even-numbered level gives you 3 skill points. At the current level cap of 40, that means you can earn up to 36 skill points in total.
Skill Points and Leveling
You gain skill points at every even level: 2, 4, 6, and so on. Each even level gives 3 points.
Skill points are used to unlock skills in your current class tree, Novice skills, and weapon masteries.
If you make a mistake, you can reset your points using a Tome of Unlearning.
Class and Subclass Skills
Skills are divided into class-specific categories:
Fighter skills include Rage, Blood Gush, and Shield Bash
Mystic skills include Fluxspear, Restora, and Blink
Bandit skills include Mist Veil, Pay Day, and Bomb Trap
New subclasses like Paladin, Bishop, and Magus unlock additional skills after using a subclass tome. These require Grove badges and a minimum level to activate.
Novice Skills and Skill Scrolls
Novice skills are open to all players and include general-purpose abilities like Siphon Leech, Fireball, and Alacrity.
Some Novice or race-based skills can also be unlocked with Skill Scrolls found throughout the game.
Mastery Skills
Weapon masteries unlock charge attacks or passive bonuses for certain weapon types.
Examples:
Polearm Mastery
Bell Mastery
Ranged Mastery
These are unlocked with skill points and require using that weapon type.
Final Blurb
To get more skills in Atlyss, keep leveling up to earn skill points, choose a class or subclass, and invest in weapon masteries.
You can reset and reassign your skills anytime using a Tome of Unlearning.
